Now I start my washes. I erase the masking I used to mark my boundaries. I study my pictures to determine skin tones and start with light washes on the face, body and hair.

         In Halle's case, some of the colors I used for her skin are: Indian red, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow pale hue and thalo purple. Using small brushes, I add a few details (lip color, eyebrows and eye color) but nothing looks completed yet. I put in the beginnings of the facial contours.
